Shanghai Traffic

As a preview to my next Shopping post and because getting there is half the fun, here's a peak at traffic here in Shanghai.

The only thing missing in this clip are the bicycles and scooters that pretty much don't stop for anything that doesn't pose an immediate and unavoidable threat to their personal safety. And the subway is bad for similar reasons.

If you're interested in reading a cultural discussion about this problem and ideas for solving it go here.

Getting around here is ALWAYS an adventure. ;} I hope that everyone else is enjoying the adventures in their lives too!

AND Branch members here have electric scooters that they use in that traffic. When we have the money, we'll be getting at least one ourselves too. The speeds are about half that in the U. S., so they say it's pretty safe, relatively speaking, of course.
